On 7 of April i released CFWidgets 0.8; you can download them from here:

http://cfwidgets.riaforge.org/

It's a collection of Coldfusion Custom Tags that allow to Coldfusion developers to build rich Ajax interfaces (using the Dojo library) with minum (or null) javascript code.

AVBlog 2.0 will be heavily based on the widgets and i plan to release a 1.0 release of them only when the new AVBlog will be out.

Note that although the version is 0.8 you can safety use most of the custom tags, examples are provided but documentation is still not present. If you need to go further keep in mind that my custom tags are only a wrapper of Dojo, so when you use them you'll also have the power and the flexibility of the Dojo toolkit and you can use it directly for things that the custom tags can not still allows.

Take a look at the code, each custom tag has an example, i think it's enough for starting :)

And what do you like to see as a demo? i've no many ideas at this momento :)

Bye

I'd like to see some examples. Do you see yourself adding in support for other JS libraries such as jQuery or Scriptaculous?

@Oguz

- Form validation: There is also a little example on the matter;
- Auto suggestion: Like above;
- Image gallery: It could be an idea
- Real time chat: Another good one
- City and state with zip code by webservices: Easy to build, not so effective
- Flickr support such as search: like above

Have you downloade the zip file? there are many examples in the examples folders, for demo i mean a complete application like the feed reader one (that, honestly, i think is enough for testing and showing the CFWidgets); anyway i think that a Chat could be nice, an Image Gallery too but, definetively it should be easy to do using only a few tags.
