I'm currently fixing some minor bugs and i plan to release the 1.0 version of AVBlog on December 11.

I think you better wait for the final release.
The final release will have some enhancements on performance and most important it will use a file caching system. I'm currently using AVBlog for my personal Blog and it's growing fast and i'm using it for testing.
Anyway if performance concern you i think using a DB and not XML for storage will be the ideal solution.

Been working with RC3 locally and on an external server. Quite a lot of overhead from the CFCs I think. Locally, I see 400ms and up for excecution time and a lot of processor time. Is there anything I can do about this?
