I added moderation support for both comments and trackbacks (the only way to avoid authomatic trackback spamming).

I also fixed some minor bugs on the category manager.

Now i'm working on the internationalization settings and i plan to release the third and final beta

by the end of the nex week.

I just notice that the zip file for the Beta 2 was missing some empty folders that are necessary for the blog to work.

I updated the file and now you can download the correct Beta version of the Blog.

The second beta of ABlog will be out on 24 October.

I fixed many bugs and added some things:

• Rss/Atom support
• Added support to TinyMCE Editor
• Expanded logging system

Other feature i hope to add for the final release (expected by the mid of november):

• Autoping for Technorati and Ping-o-Matic
• Google Talk extended support
• An enhanched Phoblog plugin

 

Now TinyMCE is supported by AVBlog, the next beta i'll releases will provide complete support to this web editor.

I also redesigned the code in order to let the user to add easily other web editor if he wants.

I just donwloaded the 2.0 version of Qumana a great client desktop tool for blog posting which is fully compatible with Movable Type API and thus with AVBlog. Still it's seem to lack XHTML support but the program worth a try, it's free and for me sure the best tool in it's category.

In the external folder there is enough room for this :), only i have not time to add support to it.

All this missing text are there only to remember me where to put the translations, all these statements will be

It's probably a bug due to the communication with the XMPP gateway, it should advice me upon comment receiving but
still a bug on this case.

2) This FCK editor seems to want to remove spaces between my wordsunless I'm very careful about typing.   Its a strangebehavior.

In these day i fixed many bugs, many of them about Permalinks. Now allthe problems are fixed and in the next beta (expected on next week) allshould be fine.

In the next release i'll also add a working RSS/ATOM feed.

First BEta release

The Blog is now feature complete, still a lot of bug fixing and text translations to do.

At this time no documentation is provided, the only things i can say are:

- Installation

   1. if you plan to use xml as storage system no installation is required
   2. if you want to use a db for storing info you must create a datasource, the default name is 'cfxmlblog' but you can change it in the configuration settings
   3. in order to log into the admin section username and password are: 'admin', the url for the login is /index.cfm?mode=admin
   4. if you want to use the GoogleTalk feature you have to install an XMPP gateway instance, to call it 'AVBlog' and to poin the config files in the gateway folder
   5. if you want to test Qumana using the MovableType API for offline blogging use the endpoint /xmlrpc.cfm for Qumana configuration
   
- Cool things

   2. plugin system, it's possible to create plugins in order to extend AV Blog features, two plugins are provided, a library plugin (for file management) and a photoblog plugin (for photo galleries)
